Randy Lee Boston — West Chester Christian School
A fifth-grade teacher served 29 years at West Chester Christian School in Pennsylvania. Convicted at trial of sexually abusing a first-grader, he is serving 20 to 40 years as a lifetime sexually violent predator. Former students allege a wider pattern; the institution has never been adjudicated. This file keeps the record, the allegations, and the unanswered questions separate.

Case in brief
Tier 1 · Court-proven
Randy Lee Boston (born December 11, 1957) taught at West Chester Christian School in West Chester, Pennsylvania, from 1979 to 2008 — 29 years — and was a fifth-grade teacher. In June 2021, a former student, then 21, reported to West Goshen Township Police that Boston had sexually abused him as a first-grader during the 2007–2008 school year, as many as three times. Boston, by then pastor of a Baptist church in Shickshinny, Pennsylvania, was arrested on July 7, 2021. According to reporting on the criminal complaint, he told police he was attracted to elementary-school children and young boys.
He was convicted at trial on every count charged, and on January 9, 2023, he was sentenced to an aggregate of 20 to 40 years in state prison and classified a lifetime sexually violent predator. He is incarcerated at SCI Frackville, and the state locator shows no parole or release date. His earliest possible parole consideration, at the 20-year minimum less 132 days of credit, falls around August 30, 2042, when he would be 84.
Separately — and separately labeled, in the allegations section below — former students allege a wider pattern of abuse and institutional failure at the school over decades. No court or district attorney has made any finding against the school or its administration in the sources reviewed. This file records both, and never confuses them.
The institutions
West Chester Christian School (WCCS), 1237 Paoli Pike, West Chester, PA 19380, is a small private K–12 religious school. It is a ministry of Bible Baptist Church of West Chester, an Independent Fundamental Baptist congregation at the same address. School and church are treated on one institution page, as the record treats them, because the school is the church’s ministry.
After leaving WCCS, Boston became pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Shickshinny, in Luzerne County, where he was living at his arrest. The Shickshinny church is a different church from Bible Baptist Church of West Chester. They share a denominational name and nothing else in this record, and this archive never merges them.
Unverified, flagged as such: a church-accountability blog, citing Boston's LinkedIn page, has reported that he was also a youth director at Bible Baptist Church of West Chester and a junior high teacher at Immanuel Christian School in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. That work history has not been independently verified and appears here only so readers recognize it if they encounter it elsewhere.

The incident the victim described in detail began in the school gymnasium before classes, while Boston was monitoring students; the victim said Boston ordered him to the gym basement as discipline, closed the door, and assaulted him there. The conviction establishes the offenses; no further detail is needed, and none is added.
The sentence, count by count
Boston was convicted on all six counts charged. The Information numbers its counts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8 — counts numbered 6 and 7 never existed.
| Count | Offense | Sentence |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with a Child (F1, 18 Pa.C.S. § 3123(b)) | 15 to 30 years |
| 2 | Unlawful Contact with a Minor — Sexual Offenses (F1, 18 Pa.C.S. § 6318(a)(1)) | 5 to 10 years, consecutive to Count 1 |

| 8 | False Imprisonment (F2) | 5 to 10 years, concurrent |
Aggregate: 20 to 40 years, with 132 days of credit. Conditions include lifetime sexually violent predator classification; no contact with the victim or the victim’s family; no contact with minors; sex-offense assessment and recommended treatment; mental-health evaluation and treatment; a DNA fee; and ineligibility for the RRRI early-release program.
Correction the record requires: the court docket dates the sentencing to January 9, 2023. Some news reports gave January 11, 2023. Where the two differ, the docket controls, and this file uses January 9.
Post-conviction and custody status
Tier 1 · Court-proven
Custody (checked October 15, 2026). The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections inmate locator lists Randy Lee Boston, inmate QP5640, age 68, incarcerated at SCI Frackville (Schuylkill County), committing county Chester. The locator shows no parole or release date.
The first two appeals were never decided. Superior Court docket 377 EDA 2023 was dismissed on April 24, 2023, for failure to comply with Pa.R.A.P. 3517. Appellate rights were reinstated on August 1, 2023. Docket 2028 EDA 2023 was dismissed on March 6, 2024, per curiam, for failure to file a brief. Neither dismissal decided any issue on the merits.
The 2025 PCRA ruling reinstated appeal rights — it did not resentence him. New counsel (Samuel C. Stretton) entered an appearance on September 25, 2024. A PCRA petition was filed nunc pro tunc on June 9, 2025, and on July 24, 2025, the PCRA court granted it in part and dismissed it in part, reinstating the rights to file post-sentence motions and an appeal late. A case-status entry reading “Sentenced / Penalty Imposed” on that date reflected the reinstatement, not a new sentence: the January 9, 2023 sentence of 20 to 40 years stands. Nunc pro tunc motions for a new trial and to modify the sentence followed in August 2025; the sentence-modification motion was denied on October 16, 2025, and Boston appealed on October 28, 2025.
The current appeal. Superior Court docket 2813 EDA 2025, filed November 6, 2025, is an appeal nunc pro tunc from the January 9, 2023 judgment of sentence. It is active and fully briefed (appellant’s brief May 29, 2026; Commonwealth’s brief July 27, 2026) and is listed for oral argument before an argument panel on October 28, 2026. The most recent trial-court docket entry is an August 20, 2026, order granting a motion to supplement the trial record. This file will be updated when the Superior Court decides.

Attributed allegations — not court findings
Tier 2 · Attributed allegations
Read this section as allegation. Nothing in it has been found by a court in the public record reviewed to date, and no District Attorney or court finding against West Chester Christian School, Bible Baptist Church of West Chester, or their administrators exists in the sources searched. That absence is stated plainly because it is part of the record too.
The petition. On July 13, 2021, days after Boston’s arrest, former WCCS student Mindy Bell — a student from 1980 to 1989, now a forensic counselor — published a Change.org petition asking the Chester County District Attorney to investigate the school and hold its administration accountable. The petition closed with 125 supporters. In substance, it alleges that after Boston’s arrest, numerous former students came forward with accounts of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse at the school spanning 1975 to the present; that corporal punishment by male teachers was routine, including students being made to take their pants down to be paddled, including by Boston; and that some students who reported assaults or bullying to the administration say their reports were covered up, and some say they were expelled.
Accuracy note: the petition describes Boston as a former principal. The District Attorney and the court docket identify him as a teacher. This file follows the docket.
Public reviews. Public reviews of the school by former students likewise describe harsh corporal punishment and refer readers to a survivor Facebook group, “I survived West Chester Christian School.” Reviews are unverified personal accounts and are recorded here only as part of the public record of allegation.
A clarification that prevents a common misreading. The District Attorney’s July 2021 remark that Boston was “the second teacher we have arrested in a week” referred to a teacher at a different West Goshen-area school, not to West Chester Christian School. No second WCCS teacher has been charged in connection with the school in the sources reviewed.
Publisher’s note
The publisher of this archive is a former West Chester Christian School student. He has publicly alleged that he was abused at the school, and that over roughly a twenty-year span, multiple pastors and principals allowed Boston to go unchecked — including, he alleges, occasions when they met with Boston in prayer groups, prayed over his conduct, and then permitted him access to children again the next day, across multiple locations. This is his allegation, from his own experience. It has not been adjudicated. The records requests logged below exist to test it against documents, and it is recorded here under the same standard this archive applies to every other allegation: attributed, labeled, and unproven until records or a court establish it.
Community credit
Tier 2 · Attributed allegations
This case did not begin in a courtroom. It began with former students finding each other and comparing accounts — principally in the Facebook group “I survived West Chester Christian School (at least for a while)” — a public group founded in 2008, with 459 members when checked in October 2026 — and in the wider West Chester Christian School survivor community on Facebook. Survivors shared what had happened to them, preserved names and dates, and encouraged one another to go to the authorities. The report that produced this prosecution came from a former student, then 21, in June 2021; the petition above was part of the same wave.
The publisher of this archive credits that community — its organizing, its memory, and its refusal to let the subject drop — with helping bring Randy Boston to justice. The court proved the crime. There was a case to prove because survivors organized first. That debt is recorded here because it is part of how this record came to exist.
Open questions
Tier 3 · Open questions
Why is there no Megan's Law entry? On October 15, 2026, the Pennsylvania State Police Megan's Law public website returned no entry for Boston — with incarcerated offenders included in the search — notwithstanding his lifetime sexually violent predator classification on the docket. His registration tier could not be verified from the public site. This file records the gap rather than guessing at an explanation.
- What did the school and church administration know about Boston, and when? No personnel records, meeting minutes, or internal correspondence are in the public record reviewed to date; the requests below seek what the law allows a private citizen to obtain.
- Were there reports to the administration about Boston during his 29 years at the school, and what was done with them? Alleged in Tier 2; undocumented in Tier 1.
- What records did Bible Baptist Church of Shickshinny receive, if any, when Boston became its pastor? Requested; see the log below.
- Will the Superior Court reach the merits in 2813 EDA 2025 — the first time any appellate court would? Argument is scheduled for October 28, 2026.
Records requested & responses

| 3 | Right-to-Know request — DA press file and non-investigative correspondence (Request #HPFOIA-1337-HP2025) | County of Chester / District Attorney, via JustFOIA | October 15, 2026 | No response as of October 18, 2026 |
| 4 | Right-to-Know request — nonpublic-school filings; public certification/discipline actions | Pennsylvania Department of Education | October 15, 2026 | No response as of October 18, 2026 |
| 5 | Records preservation and voluntary disclosure letter | Bible Baptist Church of West Chester / West Chester Christian School | October 15, 2026 | No response as of October 18, 2026 |
| 6 | Records preservation and voluntary disclosure letter | Bible Baptist Church of Shickshinny | October 15, 2026 | No response as of October 18, 2026 |
Two legal limits shape this log: the Right-to-Know Law does not reach a private church school and exempts criminal investigative records, and a school’s internal records are ordinarily reachable only through litigation discovery or a state investigation. The log records what was asked anyway, and what came back.
